Description
This was taken a long time ago with my old, but very good Fuji S5600, (I kinda miss that camera). I was doing a work for a discipline (Urban rehabilitation) and we had to analyze a few streets regarding it degradation and urban adequateness and I came across this very old rusty lock. I just loved it and tried to capture it as well as I could in the no time I had because my work group mates were pulling me away from it and were saying " ah... come on! we came here to work no to take pictures!! move on man!"As always, I'd love to read how can I improve it... maybe I come across it again...

Some areas are really full of details but I kind of would have liked a higher aparture for sharpness also in the background segment.
One part of the upper lock looks a bit overexposed, ie lacking details.
Overall I would have presented this in a slightly smaller version (for example 600-670 pixel height) and included a frame.
Edit: Looks much better!

I usually don't like to see white specks throughout a photo but here they just add to the mood. The lock appears to be frozen solid in its position like it was 50 below zero. I like the tight crop, the abrupt textures, sharpness, exposure, and tones.
I rare 10 from me Vasco.

There's something very strange about seeing such a small, neglected thing at such a scale. It's very appealing to me in all its unappealingness.
Not to mention the body of the lock strongly evokes a gravestone.
