Description

I've left the Aliens alone and as I said turned into landscaping
This was taken in the same day as Traffic Jam by  Vasco . At the time Patrick, AKA moserArtist said a car would have been a nice addition... well... are these enough? Just joking.
As I said in Traffic Jam by  Vasco the roads were being closed and they let us leave in groups. At this time we were waiting for our turn to advance.
I liked this because you can see a bunch of cars (and there were many in the back as well) going to nowhere as the road in front of the first car is empty and the covered by mist.

Camera: Olympus E330
Lens: 14-45 mm Zuiko Digital
Focal Length: 14mm
Mode: Aperture priority
F: 8
Shutter: 1/160
ISO: 100
Exposure compensation: +0.3
Saturation levels: High
Did some work on PS, colour tweaks and contrast enhancement.

As usual I'd love to read what you think.
Thanks.

@made a little edit: cloned out the licence plate of the car.

gr8 work,
i liked the loneliness feeling of the 1st one but this one results even better i think because it's more unusual.

i think you should swap the names of the photos as "trafic jam" suits this one better and "road to nowhere" is a better name for the 1st photo

@LoStSidE
I went with these tittles to avoid the obvious. I know this is a traffic jam, or sort of one, but with this tittle I can, or at least I hope I can, enhance the mood of the photo. Look at the cars, they are stopped with no traffic ahead and virtually with no road, almost like they were waiting for the road to appear or sth like that.

Great shot and I love the snow....

PS Looks like it was taken from the drivers seat, so I hope the queue wasnt moving at this time ;)

Nice place for a good composition!
This is a good one! :)

Next time you bend down on the left road and get an even lower angle. Just a though.

Did you think of doing a portrait format presentation?

Lower angle indeed. Very nice.

Ah, very nice shot :) love the fading road
I like your comment @LoStSidE better than your description :p maybe that's an idea for a title? "Waiting for the road to appear" :)

@moserArtist and Roadrunner
I would have definitely have gone for a lower angle, but It was really cold outside and I wasn't geared for snow and also they were advising people to stay in the cars.
@Patrick
Never crossed my mind to do this in a portrait. Can I send you the original unworked version so that you can suggest a different presentation and work?

A good treatment of the scene. I'd like a bit more space at the bottom and I agree a lower angle would have worked well.

I really like this shot. It's cold and mysterious. The little arrow on the car is icing on the snow-topped cake.
