Description

I took this in the same day of Light House by  Vasco but only a few days ago (22/05/08 ) I decided to work it a bit. I tweaked the colours a bit, then I changed it to B&W and then gave it a bit of a blueish tint. I like the end result.

Good work. :) Did you consider including land or sea in the frame?

Nicely composed and choice of tint for this photograph. The wispy clouds to left of light house helps to balance out composition as well as adds to the overall mood. It seems slightly tilted though, each angle that makes up light houses' sides should be equal. Well done.

I like it.. but it is so "unbottomed".. I would prefere some land or see ore a horizon.. just my opinion..

Love the tones! Obviously from this angle the only background would be the sky. I like the different crop and angle.

Very nice! agree with Moser, the white frame is distracting, maybe a bit too large other than that picture is perfect.(thumbup)

nice work. agree about the frame, a thinner white line whould be less distracting i also think that just a bit more space on the left whould inprove it but maby not.

bom trabalho!

Thank you all for your comments and time!
@Regarding the frame: I agree, and as soon as I find the original one without the frame I'll reduce it!

@Regarding the space on the right: There's a small building near to the light house and if I added a bit more space there it would appear and I would have to clone it out, and with this tones and this bit of noise my cloning skills are not that good!

@Regarding the composition on the lower area, including land or sea: From the angle I was I had to make a choice, either a view from bottom up, pointing a little to the sky or I had to climb a structure to get it perfectly on its side including the land. The issue here, again, is the place where this is placed. It's not attractive, it's not near a huge cliff with the waves ponding on the bottom, it's just a small, ordinary harbour, so I thought this was one of the best compositions I could do with him regarding the places I was allowed to go to shot it!

Again, thank you all!! I really enjoy all your comments, especially the ones that help me improve my work!

The most mysterious buildings I've ever seen. And this photo says the same.
Great work!
A bit of "fresh air" in the right would be great, but you said that was impossible.
