Well, I've told a lot of people that I love eye shots! I just do! And I have the luck of having, judging by others opinion

, Nice blue eyes! So, once in while I take the camera and take a few shots.
The first good one I took of my eye was with a Fuji S5500 and I haven't tried to do one with this camera until now.
I did the same work that I did on the first one, selective desat and minor colour adjustments.
I really loved the blue and the wet glowing look of it.

I'm currently on vacations, so I'm not so active these last days, but I'll love to read your comments as soon as I get back (and I'll have a look at your works too

)

Anyway as a ref, take a look at

eremita's self potrait. He used his reflection on his model's eyes. Kinda like an eye photo shot. Nice blue eyes. A bit dark I'd say on the lighting, but that's just me maybe

Good shot, very impressive details.
Agree with others about tighter crop, and that its it a little dark. Try a gentle play with shadow/highlight.

a bit too flat for my taste - lack of contrast, also a small light reflexion in the eye would give it more "life".
The sharpness on the other hand is very good!

just my 2 cents.
